1. PLATFORM NATURE

Mattiva is a digital platform that connects travelers with Hosts who offer cultural, educational, and tourism experiences.

Mattiva does not directly operate the experiences. Each experience is the sole responsibility of the Host offering it.

2. HOST REGISTRATION

To become part of Mattiva, Hosts must meet at least one of the following requirements:

Hold an official tour guide certification issued by a competent authority
Have verifiable academic training in fields such as history, architecture, archaeology, or anthropology

Mattiva reserves the right to request documentation and validate all information before approving any profile.

Registration does not guarantee the automatic publication of a Host profile.

3. HOST RESPONSIBILITY

Each Host is responsible for:

The accuracy of the published information
The proper execution of the experience
Compliance with applicable laws and regulations
The safety of participants during the experience

When an experience involves third parties, communities, or collectives (Living Heritage experiences), the registered Host will remain the primary person responsible before travelers.

4. TAGS (EXPERIENCE CLASSIFICATIONS)

Mattiva uses tags to describe the Host’s background and the focus of each experience.

These tags are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute an absolute guarantee regarding the quality, depth, or outcomes of the experience.

Mattiva reserves the right to assign, modify, or remove tags at any time.

5. COMMUNITY-BASED EXPERIENCES (LIVING HERITAGE)

Some experiences may include the participation of local people or communities.

In such cases:

Participation must be genuine and respectful
The Host must have authorization or a direct relationship with the participating individuals or communities
Mattiva is not responsible for internal agreements between the Host and third-party participants
6.BOOKINGS AND PAYMENTS

Bookings are made through the platform.

Payment confirms the reservation under the specific conditions of each experience.

Mattiva may act as an intermediary in the payment process without being the direct provider of the experience.

7. CANCELLATIONS AND MODIFICATIONS

Each experience must include a cancellation policy (Flexible, Moderate, or Strict).

Travelers accept these conditions at the time of booking.

Mattiva may intervene in exceptional situations but is not obligated to provide refunds outside the established cancellation policies.

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Mattiva shall not be held responsible for:

Accidents, losses, or damages occurring during the experience
Failure by the Host to fulfill obligations
Conduct or actions of third-party participants

By using the platform, users acknowledge and accept these risks.

9. USER CONDUCT

Both Hosts and travelers agree to:

Act respectfully
Avoid sharing false or misleading information
Not use the platform for unlawful purposes

Mattiva reserves the right to suspend or remove accounts that violate these conditions.

10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All platform content, including texts, branding, and design, belongs to Mattiva.

Hosts retain ownership of the content they create but authorize Mattiva to use such content within the platform.

MODIFICATIONS

Mattiva may update these Terms & Conditions at any time.

Continued use of the platform implies acceptance of any modifications.
